The Governor signed into law House Bill 3395 in August to officially enact Public Law 95-0320 the Boy Scout & Girl Scout License Plate bill. This law allows the creation of a Boy Scout and an Eagle license plate for passenger vehicles.

The Secretary of State has deemed the Eagle license plate in the same category as a military plate...plates that require proof of rank to obtain that plate. At this time the Eagle license plate will be produced and available approximately February 1, 2008. The details of verifying your Eagle rank with the Secretary of State are still being worked out at this time.

The Secretary of State requires us to gather 850 plate requests in order to produce the Boy Scout license plate. Anyone can sign up for the Boy Scout plate.

The design as pictured is only a sample at this time. The Secretary of State must approve the final design and it may very well change from what is pictured here.

Please show your support and sign up for a Boy Scout license plate. Fax or email the attached form into the Secretary of State and be counted as one of the 850.

Enlist the aid of your Troop Committee, parents and friends to show your Scouting spirit and support by displaying our new license plate on your passenger vehicle.
